Spur
iPhone and iPad
Spur is a place to catch a song while it is still a fragment. Lyrics, chords, and a voice memo live in the same file, so you are not splitting a draft across a notes app, a recorder, and a chord chart.
The writing stays on your iPhone. Spur does not upload songs, lyrics, or recordings. A subscription, if you start one, is handled by Apple.
In the app
Lyrics and chords. Write the lyric, then mark chords on the line. Move a chord or replace it without leaving the page.
Recordings. Save a melody as an attachment or as a comment on the song, so the idea is still there when you come back.
A catalog. Songs and folders stay together. A draft does not have to live in a different app from the recording.
On the device. Song files, notes, and audio stay on your iPhone. They are not sent to Terrace.
